I don't get why you guys are so upset? This isn't the first time Yaguchi's done something like this, and she esepcially is well aware of the consequences of such actions especially since she "was" a popular talent before the scandal.

She wasn't just letting her husband down, she was letting down the people who praised her even after her previous scandal in morning musume, to let herself down in love as well as her fans. if they were unhappy there was always the option of divorce. I wouldn't be surprised though if she felt pressured to stay married because of their award as the "hottest couple" and how well known they were together. But thats just my thoughts on it tbh....

I'm not angry at her, just disappointed because you can only imagine what she's going through right now.

Mari officially taking a break is upsetting for those who are fans of her as that means they definitely won't see her for quite a while. It's not about that she cheated or whatever, but that she officially definitely won't be appearing anywhere anytime soon. Up until this point it was all up in the air but getting the confirmation would be upsetting to her fans. Nothing weird about that?

I think I must be the weird one then. I'm happy she's taking time off to get herself back together, and to let the media die down and give them time to get over it. Even if it's still a big thing right now, it might not be in a few years time.

Personally, it annoys me that she has to suspend her career because of fallout from cheating on her husband. I'm not saying it's an ok thing to do, but people cheat on their spouses all the time, particularly celebrities who are under constant temptation from their exceptionally attractive, exciting and charismatic colleagues. And when it happens, they don't normally have to quit their jobs and go into hiding. And as I've said before, we'll never know the whole situation. She's taken the heat because to make excuses for what she's done would play even worse in the public eye, but the idea that she just a wonton woman who drops her panties for any gorgeous guy with no consideration as to who gets hurt, I'm not really buying that. If that were true, WHERE'S THE MARIPPE/TSUNKU SCANDAL, AMIRITE BOINS? </onsen-yes-nude-tsunk>

Having said that, I don't much care all that much for Yaguchi anyway. I won't miss her. I won't be surprised if she never comes back from this at all, at least in an in-front-of-the-camera role. If she's as smart as she seems, she done enough favors for people over the years that she'll be able to return to show business behind the scenes, and probably be happier there as well, where nobody will care much if she doesn't wish to settle down with one partner.

It's somewhat annoying that I have come across talkings/rumors of her husband having cheated on her prior to the big scandal - but nobody really seems to care, regardless of if it's true or not.
