Do they mean "hshs night scool", do they mean "hshs hight scool" (meaning that they will learn how to be taller), or is the hshsh in a larger font obscuring the real English title (especially since the word ending in "ight" is not capitalized.

Or maybe they're really bad at English and should of had Makoto proof read the ad copy?

I think they meant to write "high school" and failed miserably, though "Girls' Academy" would have been a more accurate translation of 女学院. It seems to me that they probably chose that particular translation because its initials are h.s., connecting it to the preceding "hshs". As for "hshs" itself, it's Japanese internet slang for "heavy breathing" and is pronounced "hasuhasu", hence the katakana spelling ハスハス. (We've seen abbreviations of this sort before, such as "Ktkr" for "Kitakore" and "Wkwk" for "Wakuwaku" in the names of the Summer 2012 H!P concert tours.)

"Heavy breathing" -- if that isn't a blatant attempt to bring back a few AKB wota, I don't know what is! XD

Don't mind me -- it's almost 5:00 AM, I've been up working for most of the past 16 hours, I don't know what I'm saying, and I'm not sure I care. :mikihead:

Well, I didn't say that I should have been the copy editor. I said Ogawa Makoto, who would have done the job properly. It's true that if I have done the job it would have be a case of "should of, would of, could of".

Apparently Mari's been temporarily suspended (or is taking a break) from "her agency" (assuming they mean UF) for an unspecified amount of time.

Yeah she's taking a break. She hasn't been suspended.
At least not officially and we can only guess what's going on behind the scenes. Though if UF wanted to suspend her they would have done so when her stuff was still new. This is just her officially taking a break, and it might just be actually her wanting it anyway. Seems weird that the company would suddenly push it on her 5-or-whatever months later. Would have made more sense to do it immediately/a month or so after everything happened.

Rehab, maybe.

I'm serious. She was known to be a heavy drinker even before her recent problems.

That's... sad but true. If it's gotten to that point, I'm glad she's getting help.

"Former Morning Musume Idol Mari Yaguchi Formally Retires"

The agency of former Morning Musume idol group member Mari Yaguchi announced via fax on Sunday that she is formally retiring from the entertainment business. The 30-year-old has been dealing with the aftermath of press reports of her infidelity and her subsequent May 30 divorce from actor Masaya Nakamura.

Yaguchi had already been absent from her last regular television program, Jobtune, due to "poor health" and other cited reasons. The program formally replaced her at the end of September. She appeared on five regular programs before this year's scandal, but now has none left.

So she's out for good? Aww... I'm really sad about that.

If she is getting help for her drinking issues (Totally believable) I hope she gets healthy soon :)

...She didn't say "for good" she's on hiatus. At least in the fax quoted on that Japanese site. Of course that could mean she's never coming back but, eh. No one ever said 引退。(intai;retire)
