My guess is that there are three different main storylines that overlap/interact with each other. So you won't leave the theater going "Wth happened" but rather "Ok now I know how it went for group 1, wonder how it went for group 2 and 3..."
And obviously it's the girls who change between the halls. Having the audience move wouldn't be doable lol.
It's like Mai (I think? Maybe Chisato) explained. Normally when you see a stageplay, a scene happens. Then the character move off stage and you have to think for yourself "wonder what happens to that character now while it's not on stage". That's now how it goes down this time. When a character leave the stage from hall A, they go to hall B(or C) to continue FROM hall A.
Say Chisato and Mai fight in hall A. Chisato leaves in frustration, Mai stays. Chisato then goes to hall B where she meets Airi and complains about how Maimai is annoying and a bitch and the devil in disguise.
Meanwhile, in hall C, Maimi and Saki are talking about meeting up with Airi and Chisato, but then they realized that if Mai finds out that Chisato stole her boyfriend, then she's gonna get pissed. Worried about this Maimi leaves hall C to run and stop the fight in hall A. She gets there too late and finds only Maimai pissed off, and tries to cheer her up.
Something like that. :3
This means that the person who wrote the screenplay has been writing a play where even the "unimportant" scenes are important as they will be shown in different halls. Kudos to them, for real.
