I dunno about elsewhere in the world, but here in NYC there's been a particularly nasty case of the flu going on this year (something like 500x more people being admitted to the hospital and ~10% of the deaths this winter being flu related). I know the girls always have really demanding work schedules that sometimes leave them unwell, but if the situation is as bad in Japan as it is here I'm happy that they're taking time off to recover instead of trying to work through the sickness.
