Both of you are technically right, TE-ZE is the katakana for "thesis" and that's how it's written. But people frequently refer to its English title which is Cruel Angel's Thesis.

I just don't like leaving romanized katakana words as their sounds. I'd rather use the translation.

Like happening vs hapuningu.

it's most likely from the Portugese "tese" (thesis). just like "shabon" is from the Portugese "sabão", and endless examples of use of Portugese and other languages other than English.. but we get used to seeing things a certain way, so it's expected that people will be inconsistent from time to time.

if trying to be as semantic about it as possible, you either write it like this:
Sabãodama
Zankoku na Tenshi no Tese

or like this (my preferred method):
Shabondama
Zankoku na Tenshi no Teeze (Teze/Te-ze)

or like this:
Soapdama
Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis

or like this:
Soap Bubbles
Cruel Angel's Thesis

but i doubt anyone here uses the same method for all their romanizations. i try to as much as possible, but revert to just whatever sounds/looks right to me except when inputting info on H!R (in which case i use the katakana romanization for all non-Japanese languages except English).

More recently I've tried to keep all of my newly gotten/ripped things in kana, but before I would write them out, for example, "Zankoku na Tenshi no TEEZE" (or, I think previously, "Zankoku na Tenshi no THESIS", when I thought the romaji for foreign words was just too hideous, but still wanted it to stand out so I'd generally know it had been in katakana).

Most of my stuff's so poorly organized, though, it's just abysmal. ^^;;;

Half my library is in SJIS and half is in romaji because my computer randomly decided not to display characters and just had those annoying boxes for a few months. I really do need to get it updated with cover art and everything.

I covered that song a few weeks ago actually; it's one of the few I know the lyrics to without having to cheat and look at them. xD
