^ Well said, Parhelion. To be honest, it was when Saki and Yuuka left, and the new girls joining, that I started losing interest in S/mileage. Every point you made is very relatable to how I've been feeling about them as a group. It has only been recently that I decided to try to get into them again, and while some songs are good, they just don't have that charm as a group that the original lineup had.

I loved S/mileage, I love the new girls (except Rina). I don't think their chemistry is bad, they are insane and crazy on camera when they get the chance to be together. But their music has really been lacking. Their last single I liked was Uchouten LOVE. Every single after that sort of trickled the love out till Suki yo, Junjou Hankouki just sucked with no reward except pretty outfits. They can sing, their cover of Kimi wa Jitensha Watashi wa Densha de Kitaku proved that. I have faith in them, but perhaps they might need to rethink their image? What worked for Morning Musume is that they continued to evolve. S/mileage is stuck in the same image and hasn't been able to grow.

I lost interest in S/mileage when Tsunku decided to take the worst most annoying parts of Shugo Chara Egg and make them a into a different group
Seriously, I will be forever bitter that Saho Akari didn't make it to this group.

Sakichi and Yuukarin were just much more appealing, cute, talented, etc. Their shoes are just too big to fill (Specially Yuuka, since she was immensely popular and her looks were just perfect.)

Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahah no. They were talented sure, but seriously? People only thought Yuuka was pretty because of her pale skin. Or, well, that's one reason.

I really didn't care about Saki and Yuuka. I didn't give any sort of a fuck about old S/mileage. But this one? This lineup is awesome, and I think that people who dislike it are the typical H!P fans who don't like change.

It's not that people aren't over their graduation. It's that sometimes, it takes a while for people to adjust to change and familiarize themselves with new members. It's easy to lose interest in something when some of your favorite aspects have been removed.

Oh, come on. Going by Kana's live performance of Kuyashi Namida Porori (which sadly I can't find anywhere... I should start downloading stuff like that) she's better at singing than most Momusu noobs. She's probably better than Sayu by now, lol.

Also, I agree that this year's S/mileage songs haven't been as good as last year. Except for Dot Bikini which is fantastic, and Chance Tourai if it counts

I'm mostly with Starra here. Except I did like the original lineup - they were fine. I only really cared about one of them (Saki), but it was fine.

With the new members I can say I care about at least half of the group, and I actually like the other half more than I originally did. And while I was sad to see Yuuka and Saki go, my fan-love for Kanannanana easily adds up to more than the love I had as a fan for Saki, regardless of talent level.

Saki was my absolute favorite, I did rage a bit with her graduation. My second favorite was Yuuka. Oddly enough, my S/mileage fandom didn't really suffer since we got Kana and I discovered I really like Dawa
