It would be nice if they make them use all flats in their costume once in a while but i think it's just the new girls who need more time getting used to all the performing in heels and learning their limits. It is a bit(just a bit) worrying though...i don't remember a streak of injuries from so many girls in the platinum/pre-platinum era but i have terrible memory anyways

I don't think there were as many injuries (or at least, if there were, they were more-so ignored or not mentioned to fans), but they also weren't doing nearly as complex of dances back then.
Like, it seems like it would be pretty difficult to get hurt doing this.
