Aika probably falls between Cute and Mano, because of the date they debuted and stuff.

ZYX was announced on July 6th, 2003. Sayumi was announced as a member of MM。on January 19th, 2003. So... yeah?

Idk I thought it was obvious it was going to be Sayu.

Miki was also older than Yossie yet she became subleader and not leader, however kei was older than nacchi (and kaori) and became subleader..

So in Kei's case, age was enough to make her the subleader (before girls who had more seniority, like Nacchi) but not enough to make her leader (Kaori became leader, thoug she was younger).

In Miki's case she becames subleader before girls who had more seniority than her by time of debut (5th gen) who were also younger than her, but had less seniority then her in terms of total time in the company (taking into account the time she worked at the UF office before she debuted). She however could not become leader in place of someone who was younger than her but had more seniority (Yossie).

In Sayu's case she ... became leader despite a girl who is younger than her and ahd more seniority yet debuted later being there (saki).

Conclusion: there is no rule, this is a goddamn mess. I was thinking we'd see a Mizuki leader Haruka subleader MM pretty soon. looks like that's a no. too bad, that would've rocked.

More than anything, it's obviously the personality and ability to take on responsibility that matters the most I think. Things that usually comes with being in the business longer and doing things for a while.

Yeah, maybe some of the girls didn't want to be the leader. I know that happened with Melon Kinenbi and ℃-ute so...

God One・Two・Three is an amazing song. O_O I love it.
Maybe it's because of the low quality but I can hear more guitar and electronic noise in the background for One・Two・Three. I like it.

Not being biased but the Peaberry song is really nice.
It's a sweet calm song I enjoy it.

>< omgosh sorry :/

Tbh thought the camerawork was really bad at times, like for the epic dance part they just zoomed out. Hope the concert DVD is better and is more closer to when the concert opened cos everyone had such nice hair then and Risako was still a purty blonde.

Sounds like Mano was lip-synching or they were doing something to her vocals.

Please don't give Ayumi lines in my favorite songs until she gets better at singing. -_-

@Darc nah youre aiight

Mano sounded really good here, but I dont think it was a lip-sync :S
Smile Shimai was nice.

And RIho's last line for Koko ni Iruzee was heaps good! :O

Translation of Interview with Morning Musume on how they're trained for concerts:
http://h-pconfessions.tumblr.com/post/2 ... re-trained
On this day, Iikubo is put on the chopping block. Iikubo, who has an earnest personality, tends to focus on memorizing the choreography and she can’t quite get the rhythm down. In order to remember the next step while dancing, she has to grasp the rhythm fully. Despite the instructor’s gentle coaching and no matter how many times she tries, Iikubo just can’t do the dance and finally, she starts crying, unafraid of what others would think! While sobbing, she practices the rhythm over and over.

Perhaps the fact that Iikubo so far has been making great effort in the shadows is something that the spectators don’t know about. However, even if she looks back on history, I want her to use this as a springboard and take flight as an idol.

”It’s useless if you cry,” the instructor encourages her, but Iikubo is probably miserable about her own inadequacy. I wonder what’s on the mind of Iikubo, who started out as a model and got here having walked an elite path.
