And yet she is the most in demand of the H!P idols for TV shows. So she must be doing something right. Her gimmick is dumb but it;s working and drawing attention to the agency at least. She's good at what she does and that's being irritating

We're seeing a lot of Momochi because that's who UFA is pushing right now. We'll know she's popular only when she becomes a regular somewhere, like Mai Satoda did on Quiz Hexagon or like Sayu did on London Hearts.

With lots of Johnny boys and the lead actor is Chinen Yuri from Hey Say JUMP. Johnnys doesn't automatically mean great ratings anymore, thankfully, but this is still awesome. Awesome awesome. *_* Yay more Kikka acting. *-*

Since she got abused on Mechaike and got some positive press from it her catchphrase has become pretty well known. Even voted the most popular cathphrase in a magazine poll. Also since that she's appeared on a lot more shows and has had many appearences on HeyHeyHey! appearing multiple times in a row at periods.

Have you had experience working with TV networks in Japan to make that sort of sweeping statement? The TV producers i worked with in the west planned who they want on a show because they actually want to attract viewers. So they'll pick somebody especially if they have something that is catching on currently over just telling somebody to send any schmuck. If they didn't then they just don't care who watches their show over another show and that's just silly.

The reason she is getting pushed is all part of a positive reaction to her on TV. And it's just common sense to push somebody while people give a crap.

Unless UFA these days just throw darts at photos and push whoever it lands on

Tokyo prices really are insane. You pay well over $1000 for a one room studio apartment that is tiny with a tiny bathroom. Where i live in England i have a small apartment that is double the size of those Japanese studio apartments and i pay the equvilant of about $520 a month. Though it'd be way more expensive to live in a city.

I think the USA has much cheaper housing than the UK does. You can buy a big house in most states for almost half of what you pay for a 2 bedroomed house here.

That's probably true in general, but there are places in the US where housing is quite expensive, too. The San Francisco Bay Area, where I live, is one of them. I pay $900 a month for a one-bedroom apartment (with kitchen, full bath, living room, walk-in closet, and attic space for storage), and that's a good deal in a decent East Bay neighborhood like mine. Don't expect to buy a house around here, not even a small one in a bad neighborhood, for less than a quarter of a million. San Francisco and parts of the South Bay (Silicon Valley) tend to be even more pricey.

^ but not in the city, right? i was just thinking man, i WISH we could rent a 1-bedroom in L.A. for $900 (that's not super old and/or in a bad neighborhood).. but SF is probably similar once you try to rent in the actual city.

and Tokyo is worse in price vs. what you get in terms of space/amenities, but it's to be expected.. you're paying for location more than anything, and Tokyo is crowded enough that you can't really expect to have a lot of space unless you're willing to pay a lot of money.

^ Oh no, not in San Francisco proper. There's no way you could get something like this for $900 in the City. I'm in Albany, on the other side of the bay, a half-hour train ride from downtown S.F. (And the only reason I'm getting such a good deal where I am is because I've lived in this same apartment for 22 years.)
