Many of them mouth the words even when they aren't actually singing. It helps them to stay in sync.

Agreed. It baffles me. She can't POSSIBLY be eating 4000 calories a day, CAN SHE?! Lord knows all the dancing is like running a marathon daily.
And don't give me that "puberty" crap - Puberty does not cancel out a calorie deficit.
I'm wayyy late on that but I danced an awful amount during high school (I had dance class everyday), skipped lunch every day, and still was somewhat chubby ish (compared to now anyway). I'm not sure, maybe dancing doesn't burn as much as you'd expect it to?

Not eating doesn't help you loose weight. I think it just keeps you the weight that you are right?

Depends on how much you eat. If you go under 800 calories a day your body goes into starvation mode and will not lose fat.
The big thing is your body gets used to ANY repetitive task after awhile. So if you dance a lot, your body won't even count it toward your calories in/calories out thing. Since dancing becomes a career for these girls, their body won't even feel it.

WotakuB, eating less is the basically the most effective way to lose weight. No matter what your level of physical activity is, there's a target amount of calories for you to consume to keep your current weight at equilibrium. Go 500 calories over that daily, (approx 1 dessert), and you'll gain a pound a week. Or vice-versa.
Exercise can help by simply burning up extra calories but it takes a good amount exercise to burn even a modest amount of weight (500 calories is about an HOUR'S worth of vigorous aerobic activity such as MM dance routines. Or, you can just...skip dessert). Exercise can also increase your basal metabolic rate both in the short term, and also long term because muscle burns more calories than fat. Which is good. However, it generally makes you hungrier, so that you'll be inclined to eat more to satisfy your increased caloric demands. In other words, your body will try to get you to eat more food to keep up with the calories you're burning off.
So whether you exercise or not, in order to methodically lose weight, you have to eat less food than you want to eat. You have to spend your day hungry. That's okay for a normal dieter, but it's more difficult to do as performer because hunger makes you lethargic and can thereby affect the quality of your work. Of course, it's still possible to lose weight (and conversely, to gain weight) while regularly exercising. It's just not as simple as "she should be skinny because she's a dancer."
Short version: Exercise for fitness. Caloric restrictive diet for weight control. Both at the same time, for both.

I lost 7kg in about a month by not eating as much. So.
Also, part of me hates this song because autotune. But then I love it because holy shit it's awesome and Riho and omg.
