Tsunku says the trick is the tempo for both songs.

It's getting attention, it should be a single, with both songs as b-sides to capitalize on it's growing interest and C-ute's sudden rise to awesome . BAM, free press for Berryz, Cute stays relevant, song everyone freaks out about.

Unfortunately, if they haven't planned it out and aren't already shipping the CDs to stores, then it's not going to happen. The lead time for production and distribution is longer than any possible mainstream interest.
