Tsubaki is being put in a lot of musicals. I wonder if management feels it's one of their strengths, or if it's just the niche they want Tsubaki to fill.

I believe it also has to do with exposure. It wasn't working with just Hello!Cons and KSS recitals, which they are still overshadowed by Kobushi Factory (the much more hyped, much more talented and much more appealing group of the two). Sadly, they will also be overshadowed in all upcoming Budokan concerts.

In these two upcoming musicals, they are targeting Country Girls and Morning Musume '16 fans. Unlike concerts, where they only perform before the main event, they will be part of the main event. CG/MM fans who goes to see the musical will see them.

I disagree, Thank You Very Berry didn't have nearly the same impact/reaction that Weekend Survivor did.
No ones even uploaded the DVD for the last one yet on Hello Online. Its that irrelevant.
I'm also guessing that girls that need the extra work like Ami would probably be given lesser roles and wouldn't have the same opportunities to improve.

They're better off going the traditional route and releasing indie music videos and doing more live performances.

Of course, you use piracy to compare the two groups. Obviously, this is also in relations why Tsubaki being overshadowed by Kobushi (which I would like to gladly debate about it in the pointless muse/rants thread. It wasn't even a negative comment.)

This discussion wasn't even about them having a solo musical, which was a bad choice for a group with a lack of popularity. It's about how active they're becoming with them. It's not a bad thing, especially since UF currently don't have plans for debuting them.
