They did it on purpose. I'm telling you, they debuted Rena so that they could do things like that. Maybe one day we'll be watching MM footage and, hey wait, that's not Sakura!

tbh I thought myself it was more west and a bit north within Texas... which turns out to be Austin. xD But hey, I'm just a passing New Yawkuh so...

^ They do have a similar vibe but don't really resemble each other so much to me. Rena has a longer face and big, Rikako type teeth. Sakura has those tiny perfect little chicklet teeth, and it gives an entirely different quality to her smile. On the other hand their chemistry together is adorable. It's like they were both shooting glittering sparkly admiring glances at each other the whole time.

Speaking of teeth, maybe it's just her mouth but Funaki looks like she could be the kid sister of Manami Arai.
Speaking of people looking like people, Sayuki wearing her hair like that makes her resemble old-school idol Chara.

Also, I really hate to say this but, at least judging by the "Haro Sute Edit," that MM15 PV sucks. They simply can't afford to backslide to the cheapie curtains and/or glitter PV style. Not even for one PV. The idol industry is too competitive and there are lots of groups lurking in the shadows left by the towering AKS monster, pushing themselves into the light with lavish, well-directed productions that have more than formation dance routines to capture the attention. I mean let's not even talk about about recent contenders like E-girls, Denpa, etc. Look at...MAX. Aka Namie Amuro's former backing group. They're pushing 40 but there's nothing old and lazy about their new PV. The song itself is blandly repetitive but, without much expense, the video is visually fresh and puts effort into capturing the interest of someone who doesn't currently care about MAX. That's what PV's are supposed to do. H!P was doing that for Morning Musume for a while but now they can't be bothered any more. Again.
