Quoting this because I identify with it so badly... I get so confused when I travel out of Kansai...

Every time I ride an escalator in the USA and I'm stuck behind some jerk taking up the whole stair with their crap and/or are just standing in the middle, I'm reminded of how well people in Osaka stuck by the "stay right to allow others to pass" rule.
So in Tokyo they queue on the left? Are the up/down escalators entirely switched as well, to match their automobile traffic? Or is it up-escalator on the right, but when riding, stay to the left to allow passing? Because that for sure would be the most confusing thing.

Everyone but Kansai stands on the left lol. Airport escalators with a Kansai flight is hilarious.

The elevators in my building on campus tend to be slow because there are so many people going up and down all the time, and I think of Reina's Engrish every time I have to wait forever (which is like every day).
