For what it's worth, that man who is listening and commenting is the Zetima label manager, Shin Hashimoto. He also appeared in the "Taiki Bansei" recording segments in the last two episodes of MUSIC+. He's one of the real, in-studio bosses for H!P music production.

^^ I agree. The second song is the best and sounds the most like C-ute. I'm crossing my fingers! I really don't want those other 3 songs anywhere near C-ute

I sorta want to give number 3 to the new KSS group.

I hope number 2 wins. It's the best song that fits the group.

Unpopular opinion, but I'd really like for number 1 to be chosen. It sounds like something C-ute would release honestly, which all of those harmonies that would be incoorperated into the song. Number 2, sounds like a song I would love to hear live tbh.

Number 3 and Number 4 are just kinda.... Dull. Like there's nothing really special about them. Especially 4, which has a bland instrumental.

#1 might make an ok Airi Suzuki + Backup Girls song
#2 makes me think the composer doesn't know the difference between C-ute and S/mileage. (○○ がんばらなくてもええねんで！！)
#3 could be one of those generic sounding Buono! songs.
#4, if it were faster and punchier, could be an UUG song, I suppose.

Guess my favorite would be #1

I would give #3 to the Possible #4 to Up Up Girls and #1 idk to Kikka maybe.

The main H!P groups don't come to mind at all when I hear these songs. Except #2 which I think could be a good fit with C-ute.

Loving the 2nd and 3rd song. The 4th one really could work as an album song that they, as Hashimoto says, use last in concerts. Great album song. 1st song is kinda a challenge, I think. But it could be a b-side. I like that the 2nd one is kinda idol-y, since Cute doesn't have too many songs like that, but it's still very Cute-ish.

I only like the second song; the least generic one. The other songs don't sound H!P-like at all. I could see any run-of-the-mill idol group perform them.

But that's exactly what C-ute needs, a challenge. You can't improve when you're having the same stuff thrown at you every time.
