Today is the TV Tokyo Ongakusai Music Special, from 6:30pm to 11:30pm JST. the 2nd show Morning Musume. '14 and MM OG will appear on is live at around 9:15pm JST. they started rehearsals this morning already.

since this is live, its seems they will ignore the curfew time for Morning Musume. '14?

Perhaps the performance will be pre-recorded? They did that once with another show they were on that was live.

it seems that if artists can't perform LIVE there, they had to perform via VTR.

its 10pm, they haven't performed yet.

all 4 AKB groups performed one after the other. that was excruciatingly painful.

Golden Bomber performed half naked in women's lingerie LOL

MM OG is out first introduced as "Morning Musume", they do the talking with the MC. they are wearing those yellow outfits. Maki is with them and the focus of the talk. Morning Musume. '14 is not on stage, no talk or introduction for them.

Morning Musume. OG medley :
Morning Coffee (Aya, Iida, Nacchi, Nakazawa) -> Love Machine 1999 (MM. OG + Maki) -> Renai Revolution 21 (MM. OG + Maki) -> Password is 0 (Morning Musume. '14), end.

Morning Musume. '14 performed live at 10:38pm. they were never properly introduced, just the text on the TV screen. their performance was short.

TV Tokyo definitely paid all 4 AKB48 groups to perform 2 medleys together on their show, one at 10pm and one at 11pm

Ngl, the way it was presented it feels like they were lowering MM14. Its like here's the old idols you love, here's the new ones, and here's the current not as successful version of your ol' favourite idol group.
AKB's performances were pre-recorded too and the show was definitely more focused on them. If they wanted to they would've or could've had a current and OG performance to add to more than just a 3min performance, but no.
I mean why hype up and promote something as the main act, when you're gonna have AKB dominate performance time? :s

It just really sucks that this happened to happen when Maki decides to come back ugh. but at least the crowd was kinda good...they could've been louder.

It sits kinda wrong in my stomach to see the OG introduced AS Morning Musume and then the actual current Morning Musume not introduced at all. It does make it feel like they're presenting the current Musume as a poor copy of the original rather as the same group with a continuous history. It sours a bit what should be a super fantastic thing since it's the return of Maki doing something MM-related. I would have almost rather MM'14 not been there at all, but that would probably be worse ...

Our little Pis0 performance is great though. Glad to see the dance break as well. And nice to see all that trending.
