Fuji TV Mechaike 5-17-14 - Morning Musume.'14


Morning Musume.'14 parts only if it makes any sense on whats on going.


the segment was more focused on watching VTR clips of Fukutoku and less on Morning Musume.'14.

That was great
I don't have any problem with the lack of screentime/talking bits of the other members because they all get plenty of reaction shots and jabs in anyway.
Fukuhime saying today's recording feel gross/unpleasant and her cold "What is it?" to the guys lame excuses, Riho's "his way of thinking is like a kid in school", Zukki's deadpan "Are you trying to stand out?" and Haruna's comment on how his lack of follow through when chasing her down felt awkward.

Besides... the setting as I understand it is kinda like an intervention for one of Mechaike's comedian(?), the Fukutoku guy that's called the "God of Misfortune/Poverty" as in, his jokes usually falls flat and his characters all failed to take off or just end up annoying ppl instead of being funny etc etc.

Somehow I think it's a great crash course of the-do's-and-dont's in variety for the girls. And Ikuta passes with flying colors, in a way
They were asking her to make a combi with Fukutoku seeing as both have the same propensity for failed gags lol. At one point someone said that his persistent character is pretty good on its own and I believe that applies to Ikuta too.

As for Sayu... well I for one, am grateful for Ikuta to barrel straight through her graduation topic at the beginning there. This was recorded the day after the graduation announcement iirc and not letting that sombre cloud overshadow the shooting works great for everyone imo.
Also I can't help but think how happy/proud/relieved she must've been too seeing her kouhais being able to actually start handling the talking bits on their own just as well while she sits there looking (extremely) pretty.

Aw man mechaike was great. Ikuta is so annoyingly funny, loving it.
Turns out that she and Fukutoku didn't get to do the thing together BUT... man. Call her back. Fukutoku and Ikuta together would be hilarious. Please let it happen.

today, Agepoyo TV (the show with the talking dogs) was on location at the Morning Musume.'14 concert in Osaka. it will be Riho, Kanon, and Maa-chan vs. 3 of the Agepoyo girls. they got backstage access to see them and saw the concert. air date TBA

After watching Mechaike, I really want MM to have their own show with a comedian now. I want more Ikuta, more Zukki, and more Maachan, really. She should speak up more. We all know what she's capable of.
