This woman wants the spotlight she never really got in Morning Musume.

Their songs are pretty catchy, but I don't know what she's aiming for with this publicity stunt.

I think it's more of Sayaka wanting to make a comeback rather than wanting attention. Her choice is gathering attention itself, however.

Come on guys, we need to stop judging her. Morning Musume. was her past. And, she didn't have a really memorable tenure. She came in, did what she wanted to do, and left. Simple. If she wants to make a comeback, even if it was a Yasushi Akimoto related group that she wanted to join, than leave her be. She's a grown woman, and can make her own decisions.

Let's not forget that it was a Akimoto-related group that somewhat inspired the creation of Morning Musume.

I think people are upset because she is repeatedly name dropping, Morning Musume. I guess most people have the thinking she never really care about the group but now wants to keep talking about them to get herself press and at a time when MM is finding new success.Imo it's kind of embarrassing but like I said she has to make a living some how ( she did just get a divorce and maybe her ex was holding her back all these years) and idoling is her craft so...yeah do what you know.

If it was music, I expected her to come back with a band, or some sort of solo work... not as part of a low-tier idol group.

It looks like shes having a mid life crises.

I'm sure getting a divorce and then hearing about Morning Musume's success has triggered it.

Yes. I'm not so much upset as I'm just... but... y'know. If she would just do it without making a deal out of it, sure go ahead. But it's the constant (which also is a lot because of media asking) mention of the group that's annoying.
"Oh I don't keep in touch with MM. Or Tsunku. But it bugs me that they didn't ask me to be a part of DMM." Like, what the fuck you on? She does nothing in relation to the group that gave her a shot at showbiz life and gave her her base and everything, but even so use their name to create headlines for herself these days.
It's just... disrespectful, imo. And it bugs me. And while I never had any special feelings for her before, she's sure making it difficult to stay neutral towards her.

As a side note, when you think about it, all current MM members have been in the group for longer than Ichii (except for Sakura, but she's getting there). They technically have more idoling experience than her, thus a stronger claim to the "Morning Musume member" label. :fear:

Trashing her on a forum that she's never heard of ...and will never read ....in a different language...in no way counts as not leaving her be. She can make her decisions. And we can talk shit about her. That's what happens if you choose to live in the public eye.

Let's not forget that it was a Akimoto-related group that somewhat inspired the creation of Morning Musume.

Aside from the grandmother/eggs aspect of that remark, exactly how is it even relevant? That happened, so H!P fans are obligated to be okay with any future Aki-P inspired endeavors, even the ones that are vampirically feeding off of Golden Era nostalgia?

Tbh I don't really care. Imo Sayaka was overrated (and self overrated) to begin with, so whatever she does isn't all that interesting to me. On the other hand, while pimping out her own legacy is slightly sleazy, it's kind of the nature of the beast and pretty typical of stars past their prime who have made peace with desperation. But if other people are disgusted by it, I can understand.

TL;DR: Sayaka that's nice and all, but imma keep napping. Just wake me up when Sonim makes her comeback.

Oh almost forgot, Jessi, she's 30. That's kinda too young for a "mid-life crisis." Wassamatta, is just a plain old crisis too boring? :hehe:

We will never know what has gone on with her now or then. This could all me a brilliant marketing plan in it's infancy. But yeah...I feel this move of her is just...below her maybe I have an inflated view of MM but come on you were a member of MM at it's top you help sell millions of records. Like what has life done to you baby girl that this is an option?
