I think it's all BS.
That doesn't fit with the official reason, the contractual problems with her parents, that is actually more plausible.

If the girl went through all the trouble to go to MM auditions, then stay as KSS, later be in a group which would surely debut (it was a no-brainer), then why would she feel insecure with her singing and then just quit? She was auditioning for an idol group, not an artist one.
Sorry, but I can't take her seriously...

Anyway, I hope she is happy now, and that she can meet her objectives. She's still young, so she can accomplish a lot. Good luck Aina.

Maybe because she thought that maybe by their major debut time, she'd improve alot, and as a result she didn't, so she left. Maybe she had that insecure feeling that she'd bring down Juice=Juice. After all, she joined the KSS to improve on her singing so she could become a great singer one day. That was basically her goal, and she personally felt as if she didn't reach it.

And Morning Musume, may just be an idol group, but they have had a bunch of talented singers in the past.

MAYBE she officially committed to debuting despite knowing that she doesn't want to do that, and then it became too late to go back to just being part of KSS or doing less rather than quitting altogether. I don't know if there would be a separate contract, but that's just my guess.

And just maybe there's more than just one reason.

Interesting. Now I'm starting to wonder if Kenshuusei also have contracts. It seems to me that they don't, but if that's the case, then there's legally nothing that can prevent Aina from going back to being a trainee, unless she actually does not want to continue with it altogether which supports her claim that she didn't want to at that time.

Yep, I'm with Sohee. There must be a host of other reasons, some of which, they'd prefer to keep private.

Some KSS must have contracts, considering they appear on TV and in concerts and magazines and stuff. But they most likely aren't the same kind that the girls of various debuted groups have.

By the way, if what she wrote is true (and I don't think she'd lie, since she could just not write it at all), I admire her for not just going along with praises. I find that a lot of people in the US thrive on being praised rather than wanting to keep improving no matter what.

I actually didn't find anything wrong with her or her singing back then. I mean, sure, unpolished, but quite the norm and will improve in time. So if she really does think it's not good enough for her then I guess that shows that she has ambition.

Edited my post with "family" instead of "parents", for better accuracy.

I stand by my point though, I believe she's not telling the whole picture.

Anyway, UFP may be telling half truths as well, so we can only get listen to both sides and express our opinions based on what's been said. There is no definite answer in this matter.

OK just pulling this out of my ass, obviously.

Say f'rinstance she was in KSS and taking some private singing lessons at the same time. Then she gets debuted into J=J. And now that she's full H!P, management's like, "OK, stop that, we don't want you taking outside lessons, we want you to sing the way we want you to sing." Aina is upset by that but she's trying to be a trouper. But her parents ("family" w/e) see that she's in distress over being told she has to quit her private lessons, and they demand that the contract explicitly allow for Aina to continue her outside training. But Up-Front say, "no way, we don't make exceptions, otherwise every girl is going to think she can do things her own way." There is no meeting of the minds on the issue and she winds up resigning from the group.

Not that this is in any way the case but just trying to demonstrate that it's possible for both versions of events to be somewhat true.

Yeah, we'll never know what actually is written in those contracts and tbh we don't need to know. I don't think Aina's lying - she's telling her story from her point of view. Her parents would have another version and UF would have another. No one is necessarily the bad guy here. Let's just be happy we got to hear her version of it.
