They're pulling the raw video from the screen behind the performers.
Apart from the long shots. Not much different from how they do it with the rush-DVD's or live-streams.
A quick and easy way to add a little variety to the footage.

'Quick and easy' (other may use the term
cheap) is pretty much how I'd describe H!S these days.
It's a free show, so I won't criticize it too much, but there's just so many concert performances you can go through before the whole thing goes stale.
Adding the MV's to artificially inflate their views isn't helping. As such I find myself pretty much skipping large swaths of this show.
Or I put it on a second monitor while doing some work or gaming. Most of this stuff will show up again on DVD magazines or concert DVD's anyway.
The whole 'content overlap' problem needs fixing.
