yeah it sounds more like Tsunku and UF were pushing for another CM and tried extending the campaign with the CD release and such.

but oh well, im just hoping AU keeps MM as campaign characters or lets them takeover or just one morisanchuu member.

Perhaps this could be a running gag. Different "celebrities" joining Morning Musume? I think it would be funny. At least for awhile. Just to keep them in the public eye.

Oh I'm pretty sure that they all knew already. And Murakami will be coming back to showbiz once she's given birth and all.
I doubt this is something that was just decided the day after or so the CM was announced. The CM will still air even if she's on a break, and if they record a continuation of it before she takes time off, it'll be ok.

I don't know how they're rated or what the criteria is. But it's "favorable ranking" and with having a 4th of the amount of CMs that Softbank is, AU isn't even that far behind. Wow.
