After the rehearsal,
I went to the Cotton Club with Nacky,
and we watched Moritaka Chisato-san’s performance(((o(*゜▽゜*)o)))
Everyone enjoyed the concert while having a meal
Moritaka-san looked so beautiful singing on the stage
And she looked really happy talking with the audience
There was a man who said “I’ve been a fan ever since I was in junior high!”,
and I thought “It’s amazing that she has continued to give him dreams since that time“
Seeing everyone cheering passionately, I was reminded
“Moritaka-san is loved by so many people like this no matter how many years pass, and I really look up to her charm“
And then, her singing voice
I was drawn into the world of the lyrics
Cute songs,
painful songs,
heart-warming songs,
songs everyone enjoys together…
I was immersed in each and every song
After it was over,
Nacky and my eyes met like “Didn’t it fly by??“, and it felt like it was over in the blink of an eye
The last song was “Kibun Soukai”
The song really fit the mood,
and I enjoyed it while dancing with everyone in the audience(((o(*゜▽゜*)o)))
Moritaka-san singing “If possible, I don’t want to go home tonight” made my chest tighten
She put smiles on everyone in the venue’s faces, and the performance once again made me think
“Moritaka-san is really amazing“
My mom came to pick me up,
and “Kibun Soukai” came out while we were listening to Moritaka-san’s best-of album in the car,
and singing together while driving home was fun
They are a lot of songs I love
I want to have another dinner show…
I have an announcement.
My grandfather has died.
Since I called him "Grandpa Mikkun," that's how I'll write it here!
Being with people was Grandpa Mikkun's specialty, so he'd be happy if he read my blog, right? With that in mind, I'm writing this blog entry.
Grandpa Mikkun was very good at math, and when I stayed with him over summer vacation he taught me a lot about it.
He was a great singer and a great artist...
His smile was so, so wonderful.
But above all, he loved us*, his grandchildren!
He's also supported me wholeheartedly in Morning Musume, and also helped me decorate goods!
Even though his health wasn't good when I visited him in the summer of this year, Grandpa Mikkun didn't let that get in the way of welcoming me with a smile.
But his physical condition deteriorated rapidly, and he had to be hospitalized.
I took a hiatus from work and returned to Aichi to lend support to Grandpa Mikkun.
Even though it must have been very difficult, he came to visit. It seemed even combing his hair was painful. **
After talking with the family and the doctor, we brought Grandpa Mikkun home.
He made the choice to spend his remaining moments in the best way possible.
Grandpa Mikkun did his best and stayed by our side even though he was suffering.
For hours and hours he sat there in pain.
But I think Grandpa Mikkun was tired, too.
One cannot work so hard forever.
Somehow my perfect Grandpa Mikkun was so worn out.
In his final moments, it was if he'd just gone to sleep.
Grandpa Mikkun was surrounded by his whole family.
In his last moments I was able to care for him.
I was able to convey my gratitude to him, and even though we were often separated by a great distance, I was able to be by his side.
To be honest, I'm sad we couldn't be together longer.
But I think that Grandpa Mikkun will always be watching over me with his kind, wonderful smile.
And I'm sure he will lend me his strength.
He may even be reading this blog right now.
Grandpa Mikkun, I love you!
Grandpa Mikkun, I love you so much!
I'll do my best in Morning Musume, so please watch over me!
By going home to Grandpa Mikkun's house, I basked in his wonderful smile. ( ´ ▽ ` )
Finally...
I will not be discouraged so easily!
Grandpa Mikkun will always be watching over me. Even when the body can no longer continue, I believe the soul persists always.
If I'm discouraged or sad, I'll make Grandpa Mikkun worry about me!
So that Grandpa Mikkun may find peace, I will live a life without regret.
The Suzuki Kanon from now on is still Suzuki Kanon!
Grandpa Mikkun is watching. ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
So, then, otsukanon! ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
Tomorrow is going to be a wonderful day with everyone!
And also, from now on, I will have a wonderful time for Granpda Mikkun's sake.
*Japanese is really ambiguous when it comes to plurals, so Kanon could only be referring to herself but I don't think she's the only grandkid? Can't remember
** I had trouble with this line if anyone else has input
Rebecca is really strong, as are Kokoro and Vivi.
All the women who appear in One Piece are strong!
And they have outstanding figures, too! (laughs)
Just how do I get a figure like that?!
Oda-sensei!
Please tell me! (laughs)
… Just kidding.
I know it’s impossible for girls like us.
Right, Harunan?! ←←←

Oda Sakura:
We were getting dressed after practice today and Mizuki-san walked by in her bra. I pointed at her chest and said "Ah, an American is among us."
Kudo-san looked at me funny and asked "If Mizuki was American, then what am I?" So I said "Japanese, like me".
Kudo-san puffed out her chest and boasted that she was aiming to be American as well.
Ayumi shoved her and called her a traitor.
