it's just really frustrating that they'll perform gomenasai no kissing you just because it had some movie tie-in. I hate the song so much. the pv is great but the instrumental just lacks so much, as well as the really dry verses. ughhhhh. this is so frustrating.

OFC NMB48 doesn't deserve it, they're not really popular, it's only because of the 48 umbrella (their sales only reflect wota with lots of money)
Do the general public even know their names?
Their latest tour (http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/NMB48 ... 2013_12/31) was performed on halls, even smaller than those of H!P, and had only 8 dates... MM performs at least 30 concerts per tour. SKE will perform in Yokohama arena and Nagoya Dome, there's a HUGE difference between these two 48 groups...

It was akimoto's doing, there's no doubt about it

nmb has been around since 2011 they've been planning for them to appear for a long time now. it's expected since last year ske48 joined kouhaku. as a group this year hasn't been their strongest point, there were mass graduations and they're not nearly as good as ske48. heck, most of the girls in senbatsu are so irrelevant that a kenkyuusei can become center.

funnily enough all 3 groups appeared on music station. mm was featured the most, especially since e-girls appearance was basically intermission since for most of tier performance you can see 48 girls moving back into their seats.

nevertheless, I'm just glad that media are reporting on the disappointment that is mm not appearing. I just hope the girls keep working hard to better themselves, they're already good now and they can only get better.

So MM sales is based on real popularity? (No bulk buying) And general public know all of their names? Not saying MM is not popular but come on, be more fair, each group have rich wota supporting and buying lots of single which will reflect in their sales. You make it sound like nmb only have a certain number of fans.
seriously, every group deserve it imo.

I think it's time to move this discussion. Y'all are talking more about who was invited than about who wasn't.

^ It looks like a special New Year's Day release, exclusive to Tower Records, of the "best" of H!P. The first volume was selected by the idol talks duo, NakaG and Tower Records president Ikuo Minewaki, and the second volume was selected by celebrity interviewer Gō Yoshida. It's in conjunction with the "COMPLETE SINGLES BOOK" that was released earlier this month.
