I only realised recently that after Renai Hunter Riho's voice changed dramatically in a bad way.

Like 123 was okay, WTAC was bad, Help Me was great, Brainstorming was great, Wagamama was bad.

But when she and Miyabi performed Fly high it was really obvious how much her voice has changed in a bad way..

This is the video, and in my opinion, while Miyabi "obviously" sings better, Riho wasn't as bad as you want her to be. I think she was actually decent:

Yeah it is. Kinda reminds me of that time some were saying Platinum Reina sounded like a cat in heat, but later changed.

I wonder if thats just because of the vocal coaches or something lol. Im not even joking.

Riho has changed though. Shes singing less from her diaphragm, and her nose. Thats why she sounds so rough.

I actually think Riho despite still being bad has mostly gotten better. I do think every single song she's ever sang in Morning Musume is way too high for her voice though.

Riho has improved so much, she sounds great in that performance.
Not perfect, not the best ever, but no way near bad.

Riho isn't a bad singer. She's just given songs with high range and doesn't have full control yet, so she sounds bad.

She'll get better though. If Konkon can turn into a decent singer after all these years then so can Riho
