I don't think that's right. Someone ran the news through Google Translate without actually checking it. (I saw the same translation, but I checked it.) The name of the character — 泉野明 — is the same as in the original anime.

Izumino Akira is correct. The Eiga.com article explained that she has the same kanji but different name.

Izumino Akira -> 泉野 明
Izumi Noa -> 泉 野明
