They say that because she talked about them backstage and how Karin has all the rich old men and her and Sayuki (I think it was) talked about how they're all just old ossan (old men) who support them (eggs). That recording was one of the reasons to why I had such a hard time for her in the first place -- because it's RUDE. And because she said that and the recording was leaked, the fans are joking/making fun of it. Thus that line -- it's not one she's said for real.
Just like that Ishikawa calling the wota disgusting thing. And everything else that's around.

Supposedly Kudou got a scolding after that recording was leaked though and she has been behaving better since. But that doesn't make it any less rude to say something like that.

Yeez, the girl was what age at the time? 11/12? And it was a freaking mic hack.
Young kids say silly things. Give her a break.
And to be fair: at the time she was correct. It was a bunch of middle-aged old men coming to see their shows.
That was 95% of H!P's audience at the time.

Pretty sure the other H!P girls have made remarks about their fanbase. It's only natural.
If anything blame the creepy hacking wota. They're the one breaking the whole "idol fantasy" by doing so.

So? Doesn't matter if they're aged 10 or 100, if they're still the people supporting them and making sure they can perform/get a chance to debut, the kids who are now kenshuusei should be grateful to that as far as I'm concerned. Manners is one of the things they are taught, or should be taught, while being kenshuusei (the debuted members talk a lot about how they were surprised/grateful to how they were taught these things early on) and thus appreciating fans no matter their age/looks/whatever should be one of those things. And I just said ONE of the reasons. She was one hell of a brat early on and thankfully that has cooled down since (watching early footage makes this painfully obvious) and thus I honestly don't dislike her as much as I used to, though she's still easily my least favorite member.
I just can't do brats even if they're 4, 10 or 18, that's all. If you don't have a problem with that, good for you.

It's a breach of privacy.
Idols are all about the fantasy and any moron "fan" that goes so far out of his/her way to break that by actually tuning in to their mic signals is just being idiotic.
It's like when Sayumi got a enormous amount of flak by narrowminded H!P wota after a mic hack was leaked of her humming AKB songs backstage.

The whole point of Kudo is that she's the motherf_ing loli-yakuza.
The ambitious one who calls out other idol groups and wanted to be the youngest ever in the group to have a photobook.
The one who got the role in Stacies where she got to say "I'll kick your ass" half a dozen times.
