She raised the kid alone while still working.

Abe came back to her after some years. He was still unsuccessfull as a comedian and didn’t have money.

Continued having affairs.

Started getting violent.

Wife attempted suicide. Went into recovery in the country area. Had to quit job.

Divorced since 2007.

That doesn't sound good at all.

Maybe it should be "Be careful, watch your back, keep a suitcase packed, and don't let him near your bank account!" for Aichan.

The only part that might be OK is "Went into recovery." But that depends on whether he really did clean up his act and straighten out his head.

If he was drinking (which would fit the kind of things he was doing), and that was really at the root of his irresponsible and callous behavior, and if he really got off the stuff and is determined to stay off, then he might be OK now. But if he's a jerk even when he's sober, then noooooo....

She's very intelligent -- I wonder if she's really that naive, or has such a horribly low opinion of herself, or if he's just a very smooth-talking, charming sociopath, or if (by some miracle) he really has turned around and become a decent guy...

He's definitely good in smooth talking. Just look at those poem like post he blogged. He's kinda good in such things

There's actually some other bad rumors about his character circulating. Which is worrying.

Can't help but to remember a fortune teller telling her about her marriage life which 98% will end up divorcing, what Mano Erina told aichan about her marriage, and how herself mention about being told a similar one too.

Here's hoping that him winning R-1 in 2010 will have made him less stressed and pressured about work and made him at least a somewhat of a decent guy. Or Aichan just being the person who changes him or something.
