Like a day after Ai graduated she was in Friday staying the night at an older man's apartment XD

Ai =/= all of them.

Seriously though. Why is it so difficult to believe that EVERYONE would be "breaking" the no-boyfriend rule. Obviously some of them do, that's why we have scandals. And a lot of them probably don't even get caught.
But is it really so difficult to think that not everyone goes for it?

I can imagine them secretly having a relationship because love happens, but just casually dating for fun is way less likely because they need to be able to trust that it's not going to jeopardize their career... for example, that whoever they're involved with isn't going to go brag about how they spent time with a famous idol.

Also, I think that outside the Western world the whole casual dating thing is less common.

I don't even think H!P has a no dating rule it's probably more of a "don't get caught" type of thing. H!P and basically every other idol group is so inconsistent when it comes to reinforcing it so you never know. A quick apology was released when Airi was pictured sitting beside a boy (...) but when Miyabi's Kanna's paparazi pics came out they were silent so like...??????????

Even taking it back to when MM was on top pictures were leaked of Gocchin with Arashi's Nino Kazunari, and despite both of them JUST debuting there was no punishments, to my knowledge anyway. There's Nacchi's famous playstation quote too.

That's true but I'll have to second this sentiment as well.

Especially the last sentence.

It probably really depends on the girl. I do agree that Sayu for example is super job-orientated and she always seems, to me, to be very anti-secret dating, like it's something she personally disapproves of (of course this is all speculation and I could be totally wrong), while with other girls it wouldn't surprise me too much, though things seem to be incredibly busy for a lot of them between school and work, I don't see how they could balance one @_@''.

I know from my experience, I've never been a dating orientated person so, I've only dated once during my 24 years of life, and if I had had a no-date rule, I probably wouldn't have dated at all. I was so busy with personal hobbies, friends and hobbies, it just didn't cross my mind. Though American Society considers me to be odd and in the minority because of it XD' As for the Japanese friends I have had, I guess I attracted like-minded people, because they were 18-20 and had never dated :mikihead: But it does seem to be a less casual thing, I've known a few Western girls who when they started dating a Japanese guy, the guy started talking about serious future things right away, as opposed to keeping things light (though I'm sure that varies).

I'm also reminded of what Rika said when the OGs were on Shabekuri, where she got all embarrassed over the fact that not dating in Momusu made it really weird and hard to start dating afterwards, because she had no idea how to do it XD Also from that appearance I was given the impression that staff themselves are mostly: don't get caught.

If going by that poll is any indication, 28% of Momusu members have not dated in their 20's, that still leaves 72% who have

It's safe to say it's a majority. Nothing wrong with assuming most of them have dated past 20, the evidence is there to support most have. I assume they have because most people have done it at least once when they hit their 20's, regardless of how busy a person is. It's not like a bad thing, just something I personally assume

Danzarely: She was caught in the same frame of a picture with some guy. Spending the night is your conjecture.
Nono: Miyabi was NOT in those photos. It was all debunked. See the Canon or Fanon page.
Chibbs: Niigaki Risa? (lol) Hey, what's the scoop so I can update CorF?

That's... an odd conclusion to take ^^;
What the survey tells us is that there is in a fact, a substantial percentage of men&women over 20years of age in Japan that still do not have any dating experience. It doesn't tell us anything about any leaning bias the various subsets sampled within the "over20" umbrella might have however.
I don't think you can just take the total result and apply that percentage number broadly into a very specific subset (idols, in this case) without considering the possibility of that subset's bias going the opposite way of the majority. That 28% have gotta come from somewhere, right?

Perhaps someone else can expand on this? It's been quite a while since I took statistics :lol:
