She did talk about them during her event.
Remember reading from somewhere else that she only starts to try to sing a little just 1 week before the event and 2 weeks after she's back from one month of silent.

Yub, she certainly did not have much time to prepare for the show because she was just able to use her voice again. She was still very in to the song though. The emotion came through, and thus she cried thinking of JunLin.

Btw, I came across this translation of this 2ch thread, Aya Matsuura was the best idol ever, right?. Can someone explain what happened to her career? How did she lost her popularity? Was it because of her illness? Was it because of the change of her music of idolish to ballad and collaboration with other HIP members? I wasn't into HIP when she was popular and all I know is that she has great voice and stage presence.

I think it was because of a change in her musical style mainly, but also probably because of a lack of promotion. That, and she got "too old" or something like that.

Granted I never followed her that closely interview/news-wise but somehow I never got the impression Ayaya was particularly into the idol/music business in her later years (post-GAM?), especially after her illness. Maybe she had her differences with the management about her musical direction, maybe she just isn't physically capable to continue her musical career, maybe she just doesn't want to ...

But yeah, the fact that the timing also coincides with the period of H!P/UF's (steeper and steeper) decline in general probably doesn't help either.
