^Is it bad that I prefer the original even with Sayu's vocals compared to Ogawa's ver :fear: ?
I mean Ogawa is probably a little bit out of practice and I can't say Sayu hit the key better with a straight face  ... but just the general tone of her voice suit the song better and Sayu conveyed the girly, frailty feeling of the lyrics better imo.

I prefer Sayu's over Makoto's too.

I expect Zukki to develop the same way, if she stays long enough.

I completely agree. Kanon has the same kind of voice that Risa does. I hope that she will get there faster than Risa though.

Risa's improved with age as most of them have, but she never really had much of a problem singing under controlled circumstances...ie within her pitch range, and not out of breath from dancing.

Spoiler: show

she sounds SO YOUNG lol.

I've loved Risa's voice ever since 2002 lol. She's always been one of my faves.

Vocally she's always been one of my favorites too. Ever since I heard her solo in Do It Now.

I always liked her voice -- it was always kind of a treat when she'd get a chance to really sing.

Eh, she's not too bad here. She goes off key a lot, but I attribute that to being completely out of practice. When she hits the notes, she sounds really good. I always thought Makoto had the potential to be a bomb ass singer, but she was never utilized.

As for Risa, while I never hated her voice, she had that weird Talk-singing problem that Zukki had (and is starting to get rid of) and Haruna has (Which is getting a little better, just a little though :P) I never really appreciated her voice until Ribon No Kishi. Damn, she just instantly became a great singer during that musical.

eh, I listened to Yowamushi, and I don't remember Mako being this bad a singer XD

Well, I guess she didn't have many lines back then, but wasn't she the hyped one from the 5th generation? (at least at the beginning) I mean, she had to have the potential right? Maybe she's out of practice or something, but I guess she should've been better than this by now...

She was only ever hyped for her dancing. She got tagged as the ace of that generation because she was the least awkward at the time.
