I understand -- I guess my feeling is that you stick by your friends, even when you know they've done something wrong.

It's so interesting because I was just discussing infidelity on another forum with other friends and I said something similar. I also said something similar to what Zunu said but marriage wasn't in the equation either times. I just think with marriage you should go the extra mile and try harder.

I didn't throw rocks at people. I didn't call her bad or even a sinner. I didn't psychoanalyze her as if I know anything about her. I'm going purely with facts and definitions. She, while married slept with another man who isn't the one she is married to.

Even if she were my friend, I would probably scold her for being irrational and irresponsible. I wouldn't stop being her friend even if I dislike what she did because I don't think her relationship with her husband would effect her relationship with me. I would scold her precisely because she is my friend and that as a friend I would want her to be happy.

All I hope is that from here on she thinks her relationships through and not get into things she isn't ready to get into.

Lol at the PS2-like CGI. Also in my opinion it's indeed an incredibly jerk thing to do and if a close friend of mine did that I'd scold him/her big time. Marriages not prospering is far from being an uncommon event, so really, just end it if it's not making you happy, if you're not satisfied with it. I don't think it's a "sanctity" thing, it's a "not being a jerk" thing. Oh well, I still like Mari. But this is a pretty huge blow for what's left of her career, right?
