^^I love Aika but I don't really acknowledge her as solo until she actually gets her own stuff.

Thus far she's just done Green Fields/past-Musume songs. She seems more like a guest than an actual H!P act.

^^^She IS a solo act. Doesn't have to mean they release stuff. Yasuda Kei has been solo since 2003, you don't see her releasing solo singles and no one has a problem with that? (Ogawa Makoto, Takahashi Ai, Kusumi Koharu etc hasn't released solo stuff post their graduation from MM either, and they're considered solo acts as well.)

I don't think MM will have any new songs since Reina is still in the group and I have a hard time seeing them perform a non-Reina song when she's still there.

But they aren't under the H!P umbrella anymore. There's different expectations. Like it's fine if they sing a bunch of old songs during fanclub events but an event like this kind of implies new-ness.

What's the point of pimping Aika out if they don't have any plans for her to release new stuff to make money off of? Like, in all honesty, how is she contributing to make Aika better? As much as I hate to say it, she's not really. H!P now would be the same with or without here.

I'm hoping UF* has more up there sleeves on what to do with her.

Aika does stuff though. Radio, major part of SATOYAMA, MC-ing for concerts and doesn't she have a play or something soon? Might not have been her. But either way, she's still active and she's seen in the media as they pimp SATOYAMA quite a lot and she has somewhat become the main girl there. It'd be different if she wasn't doing things, but as she is very active I don't see why they shouldn't include her as a part of H!P when she clearly, actively is.
Doesn't make the choice of song for that afternoon show any less weird (would have preferred Donkan so much) but still makes sense.
