Amped: I'm so glad one of the first things I saw when I opened the forum was more ducks.

I'm still working on getting my room unpacked & PC set up, and correcting my absences, but I wanted to announce to somewhere that I finally achieved my personal moved-to-a-farming-state goal of petting a cow.

This recent atrocity caused by so-called "phonetic" spellings of the DYE-uh-REE-uh type just confirms my love for the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA): https://www.tiktok.com/@staytunednbc/vi ... 8741495086

The fact that I'm currently getting paid good money for a freelance gig that includes IPA transcription doesn't hurt, either.

I'm missing a bunch but here are a few (recent capture of Waa-chan's bubble blowing camera is missing :/ )

I think it's because they don't actually have to buy an expensive SLR camera, they could just get rent an SLR camera. So access to one is easier.

Add OCHA NORMA Kitahara Momo as a new camera lover.

For those of you in the Momo Lover's Guild...

Do you remember?

Kitahara Momo suddenly said,

the day she suddenly said, "I want a single-lens reflex camera."

Please visit my previous blog for more details.
https://ameblo.jp/ocha-norma/entry-12832502594.html

And that day...

Thank you very much for your advice and recommendations

It has been five months since then. (Too soon.............)

I am sure many people thought, "Momochan is a "mikka bouzu" (means that someone will not keep doing something they started for even three days), so she must have forgotten about the SLR camera.

Or even that,

I think some of you have forgotten about it.

Please take a look! (loud voice)

Finally................

I got a mirrorless SLR camera...

(*Officially, this is a rental.)

I've been thinking about SLR cameras for a long time.

I had it in a corner of my mind!

This is true! It's true!

I've been searching for 'beginner SLR camera',

I was rereading a blog post from 5 months ago..,

To a certain camera! Finally! I finally found it!

CANON EOS Kiss M2

This is too cuteeeeeeee

I don't know much about cameras but,

(1) Even a beginner can take pictures

(2) Cute appearance

I chose this camera based on these two points.

Many people recommended "mirrorless cameras."

Today I took a walk with this camera-chan.

(I walked 14,000 steps.)

I spent the whole day today taking pictures of landscapes and flowers,

I also tried my hand at taking self portraits,

I was able to take some good pictures on the first day.

(*Self-praise).

This, you see, is not because of my skill,

It's because of the camera.

Isn't it soooo good!!?!!?

Dear camera-loving seniors.

What do you think of MomomoPhoto?

Furthermore, a few days from here,

I'll try to take more and more photos.

I'll report back.

Maybe it's gotten easier eh? Companies stopped making the cheaper ones, it seems, because of phones. So renting first to try it out makes sense if the price of entry is high.

I think I've ranted about it before but I prefer the optical viewfinder. Although, at times shooting with an LCD screen is easier somehow (never tried an electronic viewfinder). I guess you can't call mirrorless cameras "SLR" though, just ILC - interchangeable lens camera - or MILC.

Think about it for a few seconds: how many camera manufacturers are based in Japan ? :hmmm:

It is difficult to decide which pictures I actually want to share but ...

What about geese, are they better than ducks? Now you've got me watching this video from when I was a kid. It was a free rental at the video store :)

(edit: this is the full version now)

Pet ducks would be nicer than dogs in some ways: no mess in the house. Although they are vulnerable to predators, which could lead to a sad ending.

It is unfortunate they had to do this due to tourists disruptive behavior, in Tsubaki Factory Kasai Yuumi's home prefecture of Yamanashi, where she is also the tourism Ambassador.
