There is no sub-leader listed on the official website, so I'd guess they go with SayuReina being it unofficially, they don't really need to be told to take care of the kids.

It's Tsunku who decides who will be leader, so neither Sayu or Reina has a say in the matter really. If anything I think they will just be the next Leader/Subleader pair and pretty much just be 2 leaders, like Taka and Gaki were.

but even if Sayu and Reina were sort of in the same sub-leadery position (because there's so many kouhai), i wish they'd give the title officially to Sayu. :< or heck, just go with two sub-leaders.

^ Well Aika is the Mentor For the 9th Gen ( Just Like Sayu with Koha etc. etc.) So she is important as well right now

When Erina had just passed the auditions, she was going to cut her hair a bit. So she said she wanted to call her parents first and tell them that she would cut it. She didn't call her mom, she called her dad and was all "dad? Erina's gonna cut her hair now, okay?" - kinda. Tsunku saw that and was all "she must be close with her dad, he must be a nice guy", and thus he had the line in "Otome no Timing" - Erina gets to sing it too.

Aika was never officially the mentor for 9th gen, was she? I can't imagine they'd give 1 girl 4 new members to take care of. She's just their senior, and that goes for all 4 (5) of them, really. But it was Aika's first real juniors so she would take responsibility in a more noticeable way than the others.

And yes. Isn't Erina the cutest? ;_;

^ No ,not officially; but Judging from those past Bijo Gaku episodes, and how Aika's Demeanor from Cutesy Baby to Mature Mom-Like i kinda always looked at her as their mentor xD

What the? Even if I was translating it for her on msn, what difference would it make?
But if you have to know I haven't translated anything at all. We were simply talking about Erina and that came up. I'm oh-so-sorry for telling information I read without translating a whole entry or posting it to the forum.
