On December 12th, the Hello Pro Kenshuusei, who are aiming to make their debut in Hello! Project, held a performance at Zepp Tokyo and announced the formation of a new group called "OCHA NORMA". The group will consist of 10 members, including 8 members who have been working as a Hello Pro Kenshuusei Unit and 2 new members. This is the first new group from Hello Pro in three years, since BEYOOOOONDS formed in 2018.

The unique group name "OCHA NORMA" was coined by combining the word from "ocha no ma," a place where everyone gathers to relax (like a tea room), and the Latin word "norma," which means "standard" or the norm. The name was coined with the hope that the group would become the standard for the new generation to entertain the audience.

The group consists of eight members who had been active as a Hello Pro Kenshuusei Unit and had already been chosen to join the new group: Yonemura, Ishiguri, Nakayama, Kubota, Saito, Hiromoto, Nishizaki, and Kitahara. From the Hello! Project New Member Audition 2021," which had been held since July, are two new members, Tsutsui Roco (14) and Tashiro Sumire (16), will join the group. They were announced in the first recital performance, and were unveiled in the second recital performance.

After they announced the 2 new members, everyone went "So cute!", when they came out on stage one by one. When Miyamoto announced the name of the new group, some of the Kenshuusei got teary-eyed with emotion. However, when they heard the sound of "Ocha no ma" along with the logo on the screen, even the members who were on the verge of tears burst into laughter and smiles spread all at once.

After explaining the meaning of the group's name, Miyamoto said, "I'd like to support them from the tea room, too," indicating that she would continue to encourage the younger members. The 10 members of OCHA NORMA are scheduled to perform for the first time at "Hello! Project 2022 Winter ~LOVE & PEACE~" which will start on January 2nd next year.

The thing that comes to my mind with the name OCHA NORMA (Ocha Noo Ma) is as if someone mangled the spanish word for 8 (ocho) to give it a feminine ending because it's a girl group (that doesn't really happen in Spanish but that never stopped H!P before)

And then because there were originally 8 girls but they are adding more members to the group, it's like, EIGHT? NOO....MORE! --> Ocha, noo... más! --> OCHA NORMA

^ My impression from that clip is that Sumire looks as much like Tsuji as she does Maachan, especially from profile.

The Hello Pro Kenshuusei Unit members profiles have been removed and now it is just Kenshuusei with Matsubara Yulia as the most senior Kenshuusei. There is nobody in Hello Pro Kenshuusei Hokkaido.
