When boinsie says "Vote for one member in the thread!!", you must actually post your vote as a reply. Voting anonymously in the poll doesn't count.

This is S.O.P. for the final rounds of H!PS and has been for years. And believe it or not, this is an improvement (?) — when sb ran the game, he would do even more random shit, even during the early rounds, with no explanation or notice. You really had to pay attention to his instructions each round, and that's one reason why the game frustrated so many players.

For newbies with no history of the game, it was very competitive in the past with a lot of misunderstandings and many more voters. Eri used "turtle shields" to protect herself for her win etc. I couldn't break through! There was even a fake voting poll that people mistakenly voted in. :o A lot of people would wait to the very last second to vote (myself included) then complain that people voted after them when they were the last vote. WRONG! If you look at the results for years 2012 and 2014 you will notice there was no runner-up! That was because the game was stopped prior to the end of the LAST ROUND because cheating was thought to be going on. WRONG AGAIN! XD A lot of psychological damage must have been done. I should be in a mental institution myself from all the abuse I received supporting Aika and Koharu year after year.

Voting in the thread (as opposed to the poll) largely prevents sock puppets and last minute newbs from interfering with the Will Of The JPleople.

Ahh, I guess I didn't read it thoroughly enough. I guess the poll seemed like the obvious choice, but ehh. It's just a game.
