it is announced that Juice=Juice's live tour performances on Feb. 2nd (Fukuoka) and Feb. 4th (Kumamoto) are canceled because Yanagawa Nanami and Danbara Ruru are both unable to perform due to having influenza. It is possible that the lives will be transferred to a later date or refunded.

Juice=Juice will perform with just 4 members (Karin still not 100%) this weekend at the H!P Winter concert in Fukuoka on 2/3.

Today, staff had a surprise waiting for Juice=Juice to celebrate their 5th anniversary even though there was only 4 members performing today.

*****

also today after the H!P Winter concert, Morning Musume. '18 members had decorated a room with balloons to surprise Makino Maria for her birthday. Oda lead her to the room "Maria come her!" and when she entered, everyone in the room stopped moving. They needed a magic spell from Maria to move. She touches them and the members started a chain called the "Marian LOVErin wave~" (something she created last Autumn tour in Aichi) one by one. They then sang Happy Birthday to her.

It is announced that Nonaka Miki will be traveling to the United States on official business and training as the NBA's (National Basketball Association) official ambassador for Rakuten TV (Rakuten's video-on-demand service for watching NBA Basketball league pass in Japan). Therefore, she will have to be absent for the Morning Musume. 20th mini album release day mini live and handshake event at Shinjuku ReNY on February 6th. Details about her appointment as the NBA official ambassador to Japan will be announced soon.

NBA expands global reach with massive deal with Rakuten

This marks the NBA's most comprehensive media partnership yet in Japan, where fans will watch games through NBA.com, the NBA App and Rakuten TV by way of NBA League Pass (including the All-Star game, playoff games, the conference finals and the NBA Finals)

https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/n ... 748631001/

Rakuten currently sponsors the NBA and the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors in Oakland, California.

Congratulates Nonaka Miki on becoming a huge global ambassador for a major company like Rakuten.

If you live near there, you might see her at a basketball game or something on TV

This is great news for her. I wonder what her activities will entail, exactly? For the first time in my entire life I'm curious about something to do with basketball.

I guess she will probably train to become an ambassador on a global scale and talk about how basketball is growing in Japan with its own new league. Maybe go to a basketball game as a VIP for Rakuten and get recognized in front of thousands of fans. Maybe appear as a guest on a show on Rakuten TV. I wish that would happen.

The NBA All Star weekend begins on Feb.16th in Los Angeles but I think Nonaka won't stay that long in the U.S.

Nonaka is excited

Look forward to those exciting things !!!

Man, it feels weird to know that she might be coming to the bay area one day.

But man, I'm happy that Nonaka got this deal.
