From Reina no Jiyuu Jikan #32 (23 Nov 2017), Reina talks about MaaDuu…

Hardcoded subtitles this time, so no worries about CC. Thank Chibs.

I assume she's talking about MM's concert at Nippon Budokan on November 21.

Unsubbed source on LoVendoЯ's official channel…

Reina Tanaka 28th Birthday Event "OtsukaReina-kai 6" DVDs…

Volume 1 is the actual event recorded at Shinjuku ReNY.

Volume 2 is the making of a music video for "Cinderella Time♪".

Previously…

…just in case you think it's unusual that she's still doing solo events like this.

^ And another: "Invisible"…

Again, lyrics by Marin, composition by Marina.

And it looks like they're having their own event on January 12 at Shinjuku OREBAKO.

Is this the slow-motion disbanding of LoVendoЯ? More and more, Reina has been doing typical OG activities, and now there's this. It's been five years (yes, really), so maybe it's time.

I don't follow these girls closely but it seems like disbanding is a way to go. They don't seem to go anywhere anyway - like looking at what will become of Pink Cres. :fear: It's inevitable IMO.

Not like breaking up and restarting will magically make things better for everyone involved though and the last time i read on Uozumi, she just went back to how she was before - freelance musician/indie bands (Not sure if I am imagining things but it feels like I read a couple months back that Uozumi got married or something. Too lazy to look up now as it's not really relevant). Probably what will become of these two girls as they don't have MM OG cameo gigs to fall back on. Guess it's a choice between endless grind/club gigs under UF (however dead end it may seem) or endless grind/club gigs by themselves.

Marin and Marina do have their own things: cosplay/videogames and fishing respectively.
And they do appear on shows (TV/Internet) with those.

But you can't help the feeling that when Reina goes and does her things the other two are sort of stuck in limbo until she comes back.
And LoVendoЯ no longer seems to be her main focus.

If they were trying to create a rock-analogue to v-u-den, they failed to do that.

The same could be said for Bitter & Sweet. Not quite sure what they are trying to achieve there.
It seems that once you are an 'UP-FRONT artist' you either fall into a category with a far lower budget or completely different staff.
Or the expectations are far lower.

The two acts that are more than marginally successful are Up Up Girls and Ciao Bella Cinquetti.
The former did so almost completely on their after essentially being abandoned in 2010/2011, whereas the latter had to be transferred in from the farthest fringes of UF's influence. Both are also going through a transition period, what with member graduations and some strange member additions.
