Game of Thrones S06E07 (5 Jun 2016)

"'Gravedigger'? Ain't nobody got time for that. We gotta wrap this up, and we have plenty of other clever reveals to make up for it." :hehe:

Spoiler: show

I liked this week's episode much more than last week's. The dialogue and character moments were noticeably better, and it set up some huge things for the last three episodes of the season.

Game of Thrones S06E08 (12 Jun 2016)

Apparently the North is the hot new vacation spot of Westeros. Everyone is headed there. Great skiing.

Spoiler: show
CleganeBowl fucking unconfirmed…? :butbut:

Fuck the King!

Okay then, we still have BastardBowl! :w00t:

By the way, there seem to be a lot of mentions of Catelyn Stark, née Tully. As if they're reminding the audience who she was. Hmm.

I'm glad that Marisha Ray is a genuine geek girl. I'm catching up on Critical Role, and she makes plenty of genuine geek jokes and references that she wouldn't otherwise be able to make if she was just a starving actress slumming it (*cough* Olivia Munn *cough, cough*). Heck, she's more of a geek than half of the other players. I feel bad for doubting her.

Between my mom having the TV set to a "Star Trek" series yesterday and at some point thinking about (and eventually re-reading about) "Stargate SG-1", I realized how much I missed them and that there are no shows currently filling that role for me right now. I know SyFy has a few ~space~ shows at the moment, but I can't say any of them have grabbed my interest.

It's much better than you might think. The key is that they're all veteran voice actors who commit to their characters when it matters, which produces some great comedy and drama. And that's on top of the normal group dynamics of a bunch of friends doing something they enjoy. This is reality television for geeks.

The art, wikias, and whatnot produced by the fan community are outstanding as well. The whole thing is comparable to the idol fan community.

The season finale was pretty much one of the best GoT episodes ever. :notworthy:

Can't believe we have to wait another year. ;(

Pokemon Go is out in my country! Its amazing.

Can't wait to buy the watch. It's too surreal how well the gameplay and everything is.
I really underestimated how much walking is involved though.... :s

I played it in beta and got bored after a few days. We'll see how mass release compares.

I've watched all aired episodes of "Preacher" so far (6 of 10), and it still barely feels like anything has happened. I want to be excited by this series but something just isn't clicking. I don't think I'd be too bothered if someone in my family accidentally deleted it from the recording schedule. I wonder if I would enjoy it more if I read the comic series.

A beginner's guide to Game of Thrones, narrated by Samuel L. Jackson…

…no, seriously…

It should go without saying, but… it's Samuel L. Jackson, so there's just a bit of profanity. :whistling:

So this appears to be a real thing that's actually happening:

Seems to be an American production but somehow has a Canadian look.

I watched the whole season over the course of three evenings soon after it premiered, and I enjoyed it a lot. Of course, I like shows like that in general, and it doesn't hurt that I've been a Winona Ryder fan since Heathers was in its initial theatrical run.

The early '80s setting also triggered the nostalgia centers in my brain, since I was in high school back then. The kids in the movie reminded me more of those in E.T. than my own circle of friends, though. I kept expecting the bikes to start flying. XD
