Honestly, fuck *48 but to a lesser extent fuck UF*. At this point C-ute should have a #1, their sales in any other non *48, Johnny's week would grab them a #1. UF* at this point could have done some strategic maneuvering aka Avex Magic and moved around releases.
It sucks that C-ute deserves it but haven't had one yet.

Having #1 was MM's thing (and one of their biggest promotion tool) for the last two-three years. To have a sister group have one too (with lower sales at that) would make MM's #1 streak look less spectacular. So they chose, strategically, weeks where #1 is clearly out of reach.

funnily enough, both 48 groups released a day early (because of their labels) and so C-ute got to debut with #1!
IM SO FRIGGIN PROUD THOUGH GO C-UTE THEY DESERVED IT. This single was hella great, great songs, great PVs, great girls, great everything. I just wished they got to perform these songs on TV more besides The GIrls Live.
I wish they could get on Music Station ASAP BECAUSE THEY DESERVE IT TBQH.

Even if it just lasts for one day, this is a great symbolic victory for the girls. And hopefully a harbinger of cracks in the AKEmpire. (Had to click on that link to make sure Sutala wasn't pranking us, tho.)
