Well, I certainly have never liked her. The image that made her famous is cute but after researching a bit I came to the conclusion she looks somehow arrogant and yeah, probably self-centered. It actually bugs me a little her name is like everywhere when she's not really that big of a thing.

If her name is like everywhere then by definition she really is that big of a thing. Y'all gotta understand that when one member gets super pushed (e.g. "Shock!") it's not the member's decision, it's their management's. It's not about being selfish. In almost any aspect of professional life, whether show business or some boring office job, when your management asks you to step up, you pretty much HAVE TO say yes, or you will probably never get asked again.

That wasn't my point. What you say is true but that's about the factors that I omitted... not on purpose, but kinda involuntarily since it's something generally known to a certain point and also in most of it's part something I don't really care about. What I wanted to say is that for me she's not even the character or it's even due to her true personality, there's not much appealing in her that is making her famous, but instead exactly what you mentioned. (And of course, that personality of her is just my opinion but still...)

i think Eripon said she was disappointed that no Kenshuusei wrote down Eripon's name as an admired senpai in their magazine survey. She will try harder to get them to notice her.

In more detail, among the members of MM.'14, she's the sole person whose name wasn't written down by the Kenshuusei. So she'll strive to become worthy of admiration, and try talking to the Kenshuusei during the summer Hello! Cons.

Poor Eripon. This is interesting to me because I feel like other than the obvious MM picks (Sayu, Riho Sakura) Eripon should get picked based on how Eripon seems to be trying really hard to inherit Sayu's variety circuit personality. Eripon definitely presents herself and puts herself forward.

imo, fans shouldnt get angry that shes on a fat team. shes embraced her body, so fans should accept that this is one way in which she's promoting herself and using her body to promote health and confidence in one's body, especially amongst girls and to become a role model for them amongst other idols. its nothing to be upset about, and she's handled herself quite well about the issue.

We've had some people here getting mad when Sayu followed up on her "chubby" jokes before, this show looks to be continuing in the same vein times x100 so yeah... there'll be some people getting mad.

Kanon has been bringing up that topic consistently in recent times, she's trying to stand out with it. If anything this is proof that it's working and she's getting positive results so good for her. Imagine if no one responded to her bringing it up or just matter-of-factly acknowledged it and continue on as usual, that's just gonna be awkward as hell.

To be honest I'm in Sayu's camp that I prefer idols not to be the butt end of physical jokes but hey they've got to start somewhere (I still remember Sayu's sumo makeup xD ) and I''d rather take the chubby angle anytime than bug impressions or fruits or frikkin toilets *shudders*. At least it feels like she's going somewhere with this ... promoting positive body image etc etc
