I was rooting for Austria, she stole my attention during her performance.
Not for the beard or whatever, I had seen the music video before and that was kind of a lame video imo.

But I really felt like we had a winner when I saw the live performance.
It was the best out of everyone in my opinion and I was very happy that it was a serious performance. (and yes, it indeed felt very james bond theme-y)
Conchita looked and sounded great.

also very happy poland didn't win.
also iceland's lyrics work better in icelandic.

Oh yeah, I thought Conchita's performance was perfect for the song.

Poland... yeah no. Ugh. I thought Iceland's song was cute and catchy :)

I know I'm very late for the party (I haven't been active here for years) but I'm very happy that Conchita eventually won the competition :). There were a lot of interesting songs for me like Switzerland and Hungary. The only thing I'm sad about was the booing for the Russian girls because they are surely not to blame for what their head of the country is doing. Their performance was very solid.

My parents both liked the Dutch song the most so I'm happy about that outcome too.

Since it's next week... is anyone following this year's? I personally like Italy a lot, and also Sweden, among others.

Anyone watch Semi 1 yesterday? I really liked Estonia and Belgium's performances. Semi 2 tomorrow!

Today was Semi 2! Here's some performances:

Sweden has super cool staging with the singer interacting with animations on a screen.

You can catch up on the semis, and watch the finals on Saturday here:

There were just too many ballads this year. I mean, I like a good ballad, but most of them=snoozefest. I'm crossing my fingers for Australia.

Yeah, there were a lot of ballads. Some of the good... some of them not so good.

Anyway, Sweden won! An upbeat song
