Earlier comments about SKE and NMB should not get to go to Kouhaku kind of really piss me off. I don't see why they shouldn't go to Kouhaku. While yes there's a ton of members and yes it seems like they are riding on AKB's popularity does not mean the members don't deserve to be rewarded for their hard work and progress to make it to Kouhaku. It just makes me sad to see people think that some of my favourite idols shouldn't get to fufill their dream of performing on Kouhaku because they think the group is filler.

Not that I'm not frustrated that Morning Musume didn't make it. Don't get me wrong here, I would have loved MM to make it. I just don't see why you guys got to hate on NMB.

And akb48 is akb48. Ske is ske. NMB is NMB. Even they are the 48 groups, they are different groups. They work hard too.

It's like saying if MM, berryz and c-ute got invited it wouldn't be fair cause they are H!P lol but most of us wouldn't complain now would we.

In hindsight we probably would because Berryz and C-ute only got invited last time for what was clearly H!P's last hurrah at Kouhaku.

I'm not going to question any of the Idol acts that got in there's a great case for all them the E-girls thing is a little iffy those album sales came through some very good promotions for it far better than UFs take it or leave attitude to albums. But then blame Hello Project for never promoting their albums not the Kouhaku organisers for not bothering to find out exactly why there was that difference. When you look lower down list I agree that even though I really like Hamasaki she's a complete irrelevance on this list, not just is she not selling the whole super solo female Idol thing has died a death years ago. Nishino and Kary Pamyu Pamyu are surely than enough cover what that's become nowadays....The criticism I'd give is the balance of acts doesn't represent how much the Idol boom has done to save the mainstream Japanese Music industry from the fate of everyone else in the world.

Of course here I am assuming that MM would necessarily benefit from more Idol slots, and even that is not a given.

Another article. Talking about fans being upset about the lack of H!P at kouhaku.

I honestly don't care what they write, the fact that so many people write and keep writing is awesome. 8D

the only group that didn't fucking deserve to be there is e-girls.

as a group they have been shit this year. all of their releases except for follow me this year have been overly mediocre and underperformed imo, and in comparison to other groups.

the only reason they're on is because of the bought media exposure by avex and affiliation with exile. this gave them commercial endorsements and movie tie-ins but still except for their album which featured releases from last year was the only one that did exceptionally well. but I like e-girls and I'm not looking forward to their performance at all. kuru kuru and gomenasai no kissing you aren't my favourite songs by them. this is really frustrating that they're performing over Morning Musume just because of management.

nmb worked pretty hard and have been around for years, if their company was involved they would have been on earlier.

I'm glad that the media are reporting on this. I just hope other people fucking make the initiative to start endorsements with MM and invite them more to appear on TV.

... As if Kouhaku decide their acts depending on if the music is good or not.
Whether you hate it or not, the acts on there are relevant in one way or another and that's all that matters.

Which is why it's annoying that MM aren't on. Because they have done a good damn job to stay relevant this year. They lacked headlines towards the end of the year though.
