Doesn't change the fact that they'll probably shove "Angerme" in our faces from now on so I still think we should go with that, unless we of course start going with katakana or anjurumu. Which, if anything, will just looks more weird since we'll never /see/ it that way. Just like we never saw "sumaireeji" nor "Mooningu" etc.

(I don't really care how people call it; it's just ANGERME/アンジュルム for me. If English-speaking people need to make up a word to make it easier for them, I don't mind at all.)

Or perhaps アンジュルム = Ange Rum (or in somewhat more proper French, Ange Rhum), although アンジュ does seem rather close to "Anjou" (the former duchy, and currently the department of Maine-et-Loire).

So obviously, アンジュルム refers to a bunch of tipsy angels flying in the sky over Anjou while drinking imported Martinique rum. It makes perfect sense.
