For me, the Kalos region just seems like a more fun region to explore. Like if I ever felt like just cruising along, it wouldnt make me feel sad/lonely. Hoenn has that effect on me though. It has that "sunset" feel to it, while Kalos is more of a "sunshine" feel.
Though, I really like the AreaNav in ORAS, its exactly what a somewhat of a collector like me needed lol I hated going around wondering "is this all the pokemon in this area or should I move on..." With that it was perfect =)
