I found a three month old eel and avocado roll wrapped in aluminum foil in the back of my fridge, that counts as animal, vegetable, and mineral, and it was pretty dang frightening.

But even so, Sakurachi is way scarier so

Due to a variety of circumstances, I'm currently working on getting my driver's license for the first time as a 39/40 year-old. Feels like this would have probably been easier to get the muscle memory for as a fearless teen. :hehe:

My mom recently had a small cut that wasn't even half an inch long and it bled for 2 days straight*, so I was very nervous removing her bandage. Thankfully that one stopped, but now she's got bandages on at least 3 of her fingers.

*She's on 2 different blood thinners. Long story, etc etc.

I wish you the best of luck with this. I got my learner's license 3 years ago and have yet to clock a single hour on it.

I got my license mumblefinity years ago but it's been so long since I've been behind the wheel that I've plumb forgotten how to drive. I keep my papers current though, not least because NY State (along with WA, VT. MI, and MN) offers an Enhanced Driver License which is like a combo RealID + North American passport, and can serve as proof of citizenship.

I had to go a few weeks ago to the RMV with my mother so she could update her ID. I hate the RMV but then again I have no other basis for any other RMV so for all I know mine could be amazing!

Anyway, we made an appointment a few months ago, drive 1/2 an hour to get there day off at time we were given only to then get into a line, be given a number and told to sit down and wait till number was called. What was the point of making an appointment? We were there for a few hours, just for a photo. Everything else was already filled out online. State of Massachusetts will only let you use the same photo for I believe 2 license renewals before you need to renew the photo. After that I went and signed myself back up for AAA since my licenses is up for renewal AND I need to get a real ID on top of that. You can get all that stuff done at AAA AND passports too. So screw the RMV.

While we were waiting, I also got some fancy new charity plates commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States and I only got them because they match the color of my car and I'm geeky like that. :momochi:

I should be getting them in the mail in a few weeks.

As for getting my license. I was sort of forced into it as we were moving when I was 19 out of the city and it required me to need a car because I needed to get too and from college an I couldn't rely on my friend anymore. Getting the permit was easy, it only took me two tries. :fear: The driving part scared the crap out of me and it took me two rounds of driving lessons and my uncle to finally get me up to a point where I wasn't so nervous behind the wheel.

I look back at it now because I'm flying around all over the place. I'm also going to point out that I didn't start driving on the highway till I was in my late 30s (I'm in my early 40s now) because I was so scared of it. Now I'm using the high speed lane like I'm Jeff Gordan. :mikihead: I still dont like driving at night through. I have a hard time with the headlight glare especially if the lights are LED. My glasses don't like the lights because it moves with my glasses so it causes a weird effect.

As for what I'm nervous about right now? Cant really say I have much goin on. But I worry about my parents and their overall health. Both of them are in their mid 70s.
