iTunes

Postby VampDragon » Sun Oct 26, 2008 10:45 am

Posted this on Stage48 and got laughed at so I'll post it here now :D

I suggest that ppl put in requests for Akb48 to get Apple to add them to iTunes.

Even if you hate apple and or the DRM on some songs put in a req any plz.

Besides Program called doubletwist liberates any drm'd song as long as you can play it in iTunes

Doesn't seem like a bad idea. Why did they laugh at you? :^)

They were too anti Apple and Drm!

Not that I blame em for that but I wanna buy the stage albums for us prices 15-20 not the 35-40 I've seen online.

I think I read somewhere that the latest single is on iTunes. Not sure, though.

I understand the Apple hatred, but let's be realistic, AKB needs as much help as it can get moving singles.

I think the main "problem" with digital Jpop cuts is that most foreign fans are only willing to spend money on Jpop because they want to own the physical CD's, booklets, 1st editions, etc. Bands need to find a way to make digital stuff attractive. Imagine if they could somehow embed a dedication, e.g., a scan of a signature like "To VampDragon, from Nonti" within the actual mp3 or aac file? I think fans would willingly pay a Y1000 premium for that. And a girl could easily bust out 100 of those in an hour. Meaning basically US$1000 for a hour's worth of work.

I'm just lazy and cheap lol  I want my jpop fast and so I can pop it on my iPod quick.

As far as personalized that'd be great and yes I'm prob just crazy enough to buy something like that!

The only AKB48 on Japanese iTunes is Ooge Diamond and the Chocolove singles.

I think the main issue would be licensing. Most of their stuff is on Sony, but I'm not sure if Sony are on iTunes? Song/BMG is on Australian iTunes, but I guess Sony Japan isn't on their iTunes (hence the lack of Sony-released AKB48). Let alone the American arm...

Though honestly, I wouldn't buy it anyway. I like having the physical thing, and the DRM on the iTunes song means I can't even do what I want with the damned thing.

I agree DRM Sux. But I bought a couple Jpop songs today on iTunes. Double twist Liberated them, then I can converted the mp3 to m4a for my iPod. Plus a couple were iTunes Plus songs already in the m4a Format.

And It'd figure if it was Sony in the way of getting them and any other artists on iTunes. :@
