New forum, new traditions!




Let's do Secret Santa at JPlop this year! Not sure if everyone will be interested, but I know I've always had fun doing this and similar gift exchanges with other communities/groups in the past. And we're all (with maybe a few exceptions ) relatively friendly around here...

Good question, sheltered one!

A Secret Santa gift exchange works like this: Everyone that wants to participate is randomly assigned another person from the group to get a gift for. A cost ceiling is generally put in place (let's say $20) . The identity of the person giving the gift is kept secret at least until the gift is given, though sometimes the sender never reveals him/herself. It's up to personal preference.
In this case we will be mailing gifts, so do keep that in mind when shopping (perishables, fragile things, etc).

1. Post in this thread with your likes/dislikes/allergies. This list should include things outside of the H!P world because, let's face it, idol stuff is for the most part prohibitively expensive. ^^;
2. Send me a PM with your mailing address. Also let me know if you're willing to ship outside of your country. Foreign shipping costs and be expensive and I'll let you know if you can be accommodated.

Deadline is Nov. 15th. The morning of Nov. 16th I'll have the names all matched up randomly with one another and will PM everyone their Secret Santa's info and you can refer to this thread for their material commodity preferences!

Likes: Candy, snacks. The colors green, brown, blue, white. Nature related-things, both plants and animals. Dinosaurs. Stuff about where you're from (especially if it's a different country). Earrings (stainless steel). Needlessly cute things. Creepy stuff. I'm a big fan of Momoiro Clover, but I have all their singles/albums. My favorite H!P girls are Airi, Yurina, Tanaka/Kanon/Haruka, Dawa/Meimi, (Tsuji). I'm a HUGE Tsunku/Sharan Q fan.

Dislikes: Sports, spicy foods. Disney. Coffee. Top 40 music. I'm not hugely into notebooks and such unless they're adorable. As a general rule I don't like idol photographs. I don't really wear much jewelry.

Allergies: I'm a vegetarian, so no meat or meat products. This includes obvious ingredients like meat, fish, or beef tallow/lard, but also other things you might otherwise think innocuous, such as gelatin, carmine, fish oil, etc. Besides that I'm allergy-free.

This sounds so fun!

As for my likes: Good books, good movies, The Strokes lol, Liverpool Football Club, Glee, Team Starkid, cute things, pretty things, jewelry, Eri Kamei, Broadway musicals, theatre in general, Doctor Who, Merlin... this is a really lame list, I'll edit it once other people post and I get an idea about what makes sense to put here xD

Dislikes: Most Top 40 music that isn't a Glee cover lol, any other sports team, most young adult fiction... again I'll edit this when I see what other people post.

Allergies: Penicillin lolz so please no antibiotics, thaaaaaanks~

Likes: Notebooks, pens, good biography books, good movies, jewelry (esp earrings omg so much), cool and cute things, pretty things work too! Letters are awesome. Chocolate.

Dislikes: Things with figures on it (like Hello Kitty or Rilakuma or whatever), fiction, stupid people LOL... I don't know. o__o; Corn, shrimp...

Allergies: None!

Likes: Pretty much everything, in all honesty. I wish I could say more but the list would be endless Pretty things, books (I study history, if that's any hint)

Dislikes: I can't think of anything.

Allergies: vinegar, tomatoes, apricots, and a lot of green vegetables. shouldn't be a problem!
