Summary
Spoiler: show
- Starts with a teaser for the upcoming battle. One of the W / double center girls will be callenged.

- Final appeal comments from the challener / challenged.
- Uno announces Mizuno Mana as the winner. She will keep her position.
- Comment from Mizuno, Uno explains the reason for his choice.
- Individual comments from the other judges on the panel; each of them voted for Kato. Mizuno won by "chance" (the show is as rigged as always lol).
- Switch to coverage of the Last Idol Family 3rd single; preview of the music video ft. lots of over dramatic acting.
- News on various appearances in media by Last Idol Family members.

Personal thoughts
Spoiler: show
- The other judges "..WTF are you doing" faces when Uno announced his choice for winner were priceless.
- By my count Kato took more risks/had more guts and was a better overall performer.
- I'll be shocked if Kato doesn't end up in the 2nd Unit group for this generation.

Summary
Spoiler: show
- The group is gathered for a training camp (July 2018) to strengthen singing, dancing, and basic physical stamina.

- One of the girls had to exit part way through due to medical reasons.
- The vocal teacher has worked with AAA and EXILE.
- The dance teacher.. has something to do with choreographer CRE8BOY, but I can't tell exactly what.
- The girls are gathered and three new girls that will engage in battles are introduced at the training camp:
-- Okamura Yuki (奥村優希), 22 years old & works in the apparel industry. This is her "last chance" to become an idol. She will battle Sasaki Kokoro (Position #5).
-- Takagi Miho (高木美穂), 17 years old. She has experience with dance and vocal training, and has performed as a solo local idol. She will battle Shinoda Moe (Position #4).

- Preview for next week.
- Promotion for "Suki de Suki de Shouganai".
- Promotion for the Abema producer battle series.

Personal thoughts
Spoiler: show
- Hashimoto Momoko.
- In all seriousness, they focused on her a lot more than I expected going in. Prediction: she's either already rigged to win or she'll go down dramatically and show up in a 2nd Unit type group.

Re: Last Idol - Season 3, Episodes 17: Double Down

Postby Nayoko-Kihara » Sat Sep 29, 2018 6:26 pm

Season 3, Episode 18
https://www.bilibili.com/video/av31413847

Summary
Spoiler: show
- Episode starts with the usual recap/preview.
- An announcement: the 2nd generation group will release their single on December 5, 2018.
- The next challenger is introduced: 16 year old Suto Moe (首藤百慧), a 38th generation student at Actor's School Hiroshima. (Note: She has since graduated from the school during the 2018 AUTUMN ACT recital.) She shows off a lot of pictures of her when she was chubby and talks about dieting. Apparently she has auditioned for AKB48 and STU48; I think the AKB48 audition was before she lost weight and joined Actor's School Hiroshima.
- Suto challenges Sasaki Kokoro (Position #5).
- Sasaki is 14 years old and previously won a battle against Kizaki Chisato in episode 10 to take over Position #5.
- Suto performs "Kiss wa Matsushikanai no Deshouka?" (キスは待つしかないのでしょうか?) by HKT48.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HKT48

- Sasaki performs "Seishun Photograph" (青春フォトグラフ) by Little Glee Monster.
jpop.wikia.com/wiki/Little_Glee_Monster
https://www.generasia.com/wiki/Little_Glee_Monster

- Judge Nakamori Akio (中森明夫) is called on to decide the winner of the battle.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akio_Nakamori

- Nakamori announces Sasaki as the winner. She will keep her position.
- The group performs their debut song again.
- A surprise turn of events for the 2nd generation group; someone has voluntarily withdrawn from the group and old challengers / members will be brought back to try and take the empty spot.

Personal thoughts
Spoiler: show
- They were both boring.
- There are too many girls in the group that cry every time they're challenged (2 is too many). It's not cute when it keeps happening.
- GASP, SHOCK - someone withdrew from the group exactly like they did in the first season.
