The future shines brightly! a major feature on the future of the girls as they begin to spread their wings to the world. In this issue of CUT, we conducted solo interviews with 11 members. This blog introduces excerpts from the interviews with COCORO, MIU, MOMONA, RAN, SHIZUKU, and AYANE.

I often think that my personality of thinking too much is a problem for me (laughs), but I have come to think that it is a strength if I think about it in a positive way. Since then, I have come to think that because I can easily notice such things, I should reach out to the children around me, even if only a little (COCORO).

(I was able to try again and again without giving up.) I think it was because I had a strong desire to make music my career. Of course there were times when I thought I couldn't do it anymore, but at those times I would cheat and take a break (laughs). I don't want to be too hard on myself, but I don't do things I don't want to do. But if I don't sing for a few days, I feel like singing (MIU).

Even as a teenager, I was able to spend meaningful time with the group, and I feel that my standard of happiness is group-based. During the program, I realized that I can only truly feel accomplished when I am appreciated by the team. I can only feel this way because the people I have met have been wonderful, so I am grateful to those around me who have made me who I am (MOMONA).

I am the type of person who is embarrassed to speak up in front of a large audience or to take the lead. But during the audition, I was in a position where I had to do it, and I was willing to take on the challenge in order to grow as a person. I was happy to be relied on, and for the first time I felt that I was someone who could be relied on, which made me want to be more helpful to others (RAN).

I think fans have a strong image of me as a singer, but recently I have been thinking that I don't have to limit myself to just one thing, like saying "I am in charge of this" I want to do my best so that I can continue to grow day by day in my own way. Within the group, I am right in the middle of the members in terms of age, so I hope to be a person who can be relied on like a friend who is easy to talk to (SHIZUKU).

If we don't develop, we are finished. I think that my failure to achieve results in terms of numbers was because I could not exceed the expectations of all the national producers who came to see the show. (omission) Even if the hurdles have been raised by my singing so far, if I am given the opportunity to continue working in the future, I wanted to overcome those hurdles (AYANE).

In the interview, we also talked about their lead song "Click" from their debut single "MIRAI" in advance of its release, as well as each member's thoughts on ME:I's concept of "idols of the future". We also asked them to share their thoughts on ME:I's concept of "idols of the future." As for what "idols of the future" mean to them, 11 members gave 11 different answers, including "a group that opens up a new era," "girls who can do anything," and "chameleon idols." In this blog, we will provide excerpts from solo interviews with KEIKO, KOKONA, RINON, SUZU, and TSUZUMI, with remarks from each of them!

I genuinely have the most fun when I'm rapping. Even when I'm having a bad day, rapping makes me feel okay, and it's kind of like a new form of communication (laughs). But I have never learned to rap properly, so I am really self-taught.

(What impressed me the most) was the position battle. Until then, I had not been able to show my ability yet, because I had not been able to express my emotions as in the case of "FLASH" in the placement test, or I had only a few parts in the song. The position battle was a frustrating result, but I felt that I was finally able to give it my all (KOKONA).

The kind of idol I imagine is an all-rounder with good style, good visuals, and can sing and dance well. I also auditioned because I admired those sparkling people, but I think it is a dream come true that someone like me, who has no experience, can make a debut (RINON).

(What makes me happy is) when I am on stage and the audience is watching me. During rehearsals, I do my best to remember things like, "This camera was used this time, that camera was used this time, and this camera was used......," but during the performance I forget everything (laughs) and end up looking at the audience the whole time. I have the most fun when I am performing for the audience in front of me (SUZU).

I am often asked to be the main vocalist, and I have a lot of parts to showcase, so I thought, "It's meaningless if I can't show my charm there," and I didn't want to be someone who can run for the center position but can't shine unless I'm the center (TSUZUMI).
